Robert Mantin, Chairman

Bob Mantin, Chairman, Graduated from City University of New York with a Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1952-1956. Bob joined Lyon in 1989 and immediately went to work modernizing and computerizing the entire company. Bob has worked tirelessly over the years to bring Lyon to its’ current, highly respected position in Credit Reporting, Factoring, Collections and Purchase Order Financing.

Rick Mantin, President

Rick Mantin graduated from Yale University with a B.A. in Physics and has an extensive background in high-level Mathematics and Statistical Modeling. He joined Lyon Credit Services in 2002 and was named President in 2005. Rick is responsible for managing all facets of Lyon on a daily basis. He has a hands-on approach and a "buck-stops-here" policy. Rick is heavily involved in Factoring, Business Development, New Product Development, Scoring Models, and Customer Service.

Fred Wasserspring, Chief Operating Officer

Fred R Wasserspring earned a Degree in Management with a minor in Accounting from the University of Rhode Island and a MBA in Accounting and Finance from the New York University. After graduation, he began his career at KPMG PEAT MARWICK, & Co. a C P A firm as an audit specialist in stock-brokerage accounting. After leaving KPMG, Fred joined Prudential-Bache Securities in various capacities, including Manager of Accounting for Proprietary Trading and Controller of fixed income Securities. His next position was President of Prudential Bache Metal Co, the physical metal trading and finance company for physical metals. From a small little division this company became a half a billion dollar subsidiary of Prudential. Fred then became President and Chief Operating Officer of a 100 million dollar Jewelry company. Since 1997, he has been Chief Operating Officer managing all operations in the Factoring and Collection Divisions for the Lyon Group of Companies.

Terri Bender, Executive Vice President, Sales

Terri Bender, Executive Vice President, Sales has been with Lyon since 1989.Terri has a B.S. in Business Management from Le Tourneau University. Terri is responsible for managing all US and International Sales and Customer Service. In addition, she works closely with customers and the Lyon Team when implementing new subscriber services and benefits. Prior to Lyon, she was Director of Sales for Limaxi Transportation. She resides in the Dallas area.

Alex Balanovsky, IT Chief

Alex Balanovsky holds a master's degree in computer science from Baku State University, in Azerbaijan. He joined Lyon 1992, and worked his way up to becoming the Chief Information Officer. Alex has primary responsibility for the entire IT division at Lyon. He lives with his family in Las Vegas, where he enjoys playing tennis, jogging, and swimming.

George Bickard, Executive Credit Manager

George Bickard has been the Executive Credit Manager at Lyon since 1999. He has 17 years prior experience at Dun & Bradstreet as a credit reporter, divisional manager, regional trainer, and eventually district manager of the Long Island office. At Lyon, George runs the entire Credit Department and is actively involved in the Factoring Division, as well. George is married to his wife Jeanne and they reside in Long Island with their five children. In his spare time George is very active with the youth of his community and is currently an executive board member of the local Police Activity League.

Karen Smith, Regional Manager

Karen S. Smith earned dual B.S. degrees in Business Administration and Economics from Pfeiffer College 1985 and an MBA from Pfeiffer College in 1990.  She joined Lyon Credit Services in June 2000. Karen has prior experience as a collector and credit analyst at First Union Factoring in Charlotte, NC from 1985-1988; as a senior credit analyst for Solo Credit from 1988-1995; and as Vice President of Credit Business Services from 1995-2000.  At Lyon, Karen manages the North Carolina Office; using her business experience in Factoring, Credit Groups and Credit Reporting.

Stafford Thomas, Manager, Legal Department

Stafford Thomas is the Legal Collection Manager at Lyon, and brings over 20 years of experience and expertise to our Collection Department. Stafford is responsible for the placement and overview of all claims submitted to attorneys for collection and/or litigation. Stafford is a member of the CLLA (Commercial Law League of America) and a member of SCCP (Senior Certified Collection Professional).
